Official “Kick Off” Day for the #BeBandReady and #KeepPlaying Spring ’21 Campaign

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

 

2020 was a rough year to put it mildly. Many outstanding bands have decreased in size and many were not able to take the field at all. 

 

To ensure that we ALL come back stronger than ever in 2021, we've put together an unprecedented alliance to make sure that students from coast to coast at the high school and collegiate levels are inspired and motivated to continue (or begin) their involvement in the national band community! Our goal is to generate excitement this spring so that we can hit the ground running when band camps and rehearsal begin in preparation for the traditional marching band season … and beyond!

 

  • WHO: Any & all high school, college and university bands, percussion ensembles, color guards, dance teams and twirlers together with manufacturers, professional organizations, Drum Corps International and a growing list of remarkable partners from every corner of music and performing arts education!

  • WHAT: Nationwide scholastic band & marching arts empowerment and rejuvenation/reengagement/recruitment campaign

  • WHEN: Starts March 4th – National Marching Music Day and continues through the end of the 2021 academic calendar

  • WHERE: Social media, email, other methods as determined by you

  • WHY: Band students need band… Performers need to perform… and ensembles need students!

  • HOW:

    • Add your name to the list as a key supporter of this campaign. 

    • Sign-up to gain access to a special Tool Kit, featuring social media posts & suggested schedule, graphics and insider information to help bolster and amplify your individual efforts

    • Use the #MarchForth and #KeepPlaying, #KeepDrumming, #KeepMarching, #KeepSpinning #KeepTwirling and #BeBandReady hash tags on social media posts starting March 4th and thereafter, to add your voice to the thousands of others who will proclaim their appreciation for the marching arts in all of its creative forms.
